Kimberly Mowbray

Kimberly DeWitt Mowbray is the Senior Attorney and heads up the litigation department of T. Madden & Associates, P.C. in conjunction with firm owner Terance Madden. Attorney Mowbray, who is originally from Michigan (and a loyal Michigan State Spartan), came south to attend and graduate from the University of Georgia School of Law. There, she got involved with public interest work, clerking for both the public defender’s office and the newly created family violence clinic. Upon graduation, Attorney Mowbray worked for over three years for Georgia Legal Services Program, Inc., providing various civil legal services to Georgia’s indigent population facing legal challenges, and focusing her attention and talents on cases involving family violence.

Attorney Mowbray then spent time undertaking the duties of a Special Assistant Attorney General in handling child abuse and neglect cases in which the Department of Family and Children Services became involved. In 2003, Attorney Mowbray transitioned to a role she would undertake for over 15 years: insurance defense counsel. As such, she learned the ins and outs of what insurance companies are thinking in evaluating and attempting to combat personal injury and other claims, and – importantly – gained invaluable experience litigating cases from inception through appeal, successfully arguing cases before both the Georgia Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of Georgia.

In 2019, Attorney Mowbray decided she had enough of the insurance companies’ antics in trying to deny legitimate injury claims and made a move to the plaintiffs’ side. She now focuses her passion and experience on representing injured parties in obtaining fair compensation for those injuries. The insurance companies and defense counsel know Attorney Mowbray knows what she’s doing, which benefits the firm’s clients immensely.
